pages 3 through 36 i believe are a detailed description of many of the things the main character has witnessed within Virginia's blue ridge Valley. Many of these things including the Frogs jumping, sharks passing by and the evening sky are daily occurences that many of us tend to take for granted. i feel the authors descriptions truly capture the powerful attributes of those regular occurances and make them an extraordinary moment. the language used in the text is very detailed and gives us a true insight into the mind of the main character. A little complicated at times to follow, but the descriptions seem to fit together and we are able to get a glimpse at what the main character witnesses around her, and what that means to her. I believe many of these occurences that she witnesses represent something more meaningful but i am yet to figure it out.
