Reaction and Response to Nature

"The breeze is the merest puff, but you yourself sail headlong and breathless under the gale force of the spirit." last sentence pg. 15
I consider myself a very outdoorsy person, and at the same time a very adaptable person. I chose this passage because I think it characterizes me quite nicely. As I interpret this passage, it is saying that even when there is a lack of wind, if one has enough passion in one's spirit and wants something bad enough, one can go anywhere on little to no wind. One can create their own wind to guide one to where one wants to get in life. I tend to move through life, taking every blow one at a time and dealing with it as it rolls around. I wouldn't say I blow through life riding the wind, because my goals give me direction, and my spirit fuels the wind that sweeps me through life. One can't depend on the wind to always be there pushing one through life, in some cases one needs to create one's own wind in order to get to where one wants to go. I know that the wind won't always be behind me, but as long as I can create my own wind, I'll be fine. Although my horoscope says I am a fire sign, and I have recognized many aspects of my personality that completely coincide with the fire sign I'm born under, I believe I carry a lot of traits that tend to fall under the air sign. I believe this attributes to why I tend to be quite mellow and just cruise along in life wherever it takes me.
