The end of our spring break week was coming up and we still had not seen a sea turtle nesting. Then we get a call the day before we leave from Natasha, who is the leader of the organization, that there was a nesting down on Turtle Beach. We all start running down to the beach to see this amazing, beautiful, once in a lifetime occurrence that you don't get to see every day. Everybody was in amazed. It really made our trip worth while and showed us that nature is really a "now you see it, now you don't" kinda of affair.

Now you see it, now you dont
I can relate to a quote in the first few chapters that states, " unfortunately, nature is very much a now-you-see-it, now-you-don't affair". This quotes applies directly to my spring break last year. Eckerd College offers many different options for spring break service trips. I decided to go on the one to Trinidad and Tobago. This trip was mainly based around SOS ( save our sea turtles), which is an organization that helps save leather-back sea turtles when they are nesting since they are an endangered specie. People wait around to see this amazing natural occurrence happen. Its one of those now you see it, now you don't kind of things.
